Our Chef

Michael Turner

For 34 years, Michael has been the soul of Classic Cup's delicious food.

 

Why should people eat at the Classic? We continue to cook as much local and sustainable agriculture as we possibly can. We try to be inventive with our world based contemporary cuisine -- changing it everyday. Best of all, our energy is good & positive, and it's reflected in the food.

 

What kind of experience can people expect at the Classic? You'll have a great experience in service, atmosphere, food, and not be concerned with those aspects of your dining experience, enabling you to enjoy the company of your friends. You’ll walk away wanting to come back.

 

What kind of customers do you have? We have a variety of customers because of our location and we’ve been around so long. The Cup has a lot of people who are interested in the arts and sports. The plaza tends to have people that come from all over the world, and that's reflected at our location.

The mosaic marble floor, hand rubbed cherry wine racks, Straus crystal chandeliers and imported Italian chairs accent a private party room that features it's own kitchen and staff to insure it is ideal for groups from 10 to 75 people for the following types of events:

EVENT SPACE

Enjoy your meal outside throughout the year. Once you experience it, you'll know why we continue to be voted as the Best Outdoor Dining space in Kansas City.

 

Our rear patio is very relaxed, and has a seperate full bar with easy access to the parking lot. Our frontside patio runs alongside the sidewalk. Great for people watching and getting out of the shade.
